Air Handlers
Air handlers are an integral part of any HVAC system. Usually, an air handler is a large metal box containing a blower, heating and/or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. Air handlers generally connect to ductwork that distributes the conditioned air through the home.
Air handlers typically include the following components:
- Blower/fan
- Heating and/or cooling elements
- Filters
- Humidifier
- Mixing chamber
- Controls
- Vibration isolators
All of these parts must be functioning properly in order for your air handler and AC system to work.
